Our Mission
The purpose of the Chicago Dermatological Society is to educate its members and guests (medical residents and students) in dermatology and its subspecialties and to promote:
- Excellence in patient care
- Adherence to a high level of ethical conduct and professionalism
- Dermatology related research
- A spirit of community among its members
- Public interest relating to dermatology
Education
- The next monthly conference will take place on February 17 at the Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. The guest speaker is Mark Lebwohl, MD. Meeting details will be posted here soon.

January 7, 2010 -- We are sorry to report that longtime member Arthur Shapiro MD has passed away at the age of 96. A former vice president of CDS, he was a member of the Society for 60 years and will be greatly missed. View the notice in the Chicago Tribune.
